Five early Week 13 sleepers

Jonathan Stewart, running back, Carolina Panthers: Stewart is tough to start on a weekly basis, but his Week 13 matchup (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) makes for a near ideal play. They have allowed 148.0 rushing yards and a lone ground score per game to the position in the past month. Stewart has excellent history against this division rival, too.

Shonn Greene, running back, New York Jets: Desperate owners can hope for double-digit utilizations (averaging 7.33 per game this month). The Buffalo Bills‘ defense is a sieve for fantasy points to the position. Take a chance if you’re feeling lucky.

Chansi Stuckey, wide receiver, Cleveland Browns: Stuckey has been targeted 14 total times in Brady Quinn’s last two starts. Against the San Diego Chargers, it looks like Cleveland will be playing a lot of catch-up football. He could see a lot of underneath work, so stick Stuckey in your flex spot.

Bobby Wade, wide receiver, Kansas City Chiefs: With Dwayne Bowe suspended the past two games, Wade has been No. 2 in targets (12) among KC’s wideouts. The crafty slot receiver should draw Andre’ Goodman while Chris Chambers contends with Champ Bailey. Point-per-reception leaguers may want to take a look at Wade.

James Casey, tight end, Houston Texans: The Jacksonville Jaguars‘ defense is giving up 5.0 receptions for 50.6 yards and 0.2 scores per game in the past six weeks. While those numbers aren’t particularly appealing, if Casey met the average for receptions and yardage alone he would total 10 points in standard PPR formats. For what it’s worth, Owen Daniels (knee) recorded a 5-38-1 line in Week 3 against the Jags.
