Jon Heyman, of MLB Network, reports the Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired DH Jim Thome from the Chicago White Sox.
This move likely means a significant reduction in Thome’s playing time given the absence of the designated hitter in an NL lineup. His new ballpark also presents a diminished homer environment on average. Want more? Keep reading…

If you haven’t had a chance, check out my blog on Indianapolis Colts tight end Dallas Clark and then read this one and you’ll see why I like Clark better. Don’t get me wrong, Gonzo is not chopped liver, but when you look at the bigger picture, it’s clear Clark is vaulting ahead of him.
Positives:
- Gonzo has proven to be a consistent red zone target with Kansas City.
- Despite his age (33), he is still athletic, has great hands, is able to adjust to the throw, runs routes properly, has outstanding instincts and is ultracompetitive. Want more? Keep reading…
