[...] Around the league with Brett Favre, Michael Turner, Tony Gonzalez, Knowshon Moreno and others! I’ve come to enjoy Twitter, and obviously those that know me know I’m a big Facebook fan. Social networking, to me, is one of the easiest ways to stay on top of what’s happening with sports faster than the mainstream news can provide. It shouldn’t be surprising if I reference these networks in my blogs from this point forward – at least until it wears off and the next greatest thing since sliced bread comes around.
Oh, del Pilar...

I'm telling you now, Turner won't have the production that he did last year.

Behind LT, his carries over the years were (rounded): 20,60,80,70. Last year, he jumped up to 376. It's a very GOOD thing that he had four years under his belt before he went over 400 touches (including playoffs). Any other player would be a crazy-high injury risk this season. Look at what happened to Jamal Lewis, for example, he came in the league blazing his rookie year and suffered season-ending injury the very next. You see players like Terrell Davis who have two or three brutal high-yield performance years then fall off the map. Then, you have players like Roger Craig and Corey Dillon who are used smartly and consistently and last 10 years in the league. Will be interesting to see how the high rookie year touch count affects Matt Forte this year. Some can handle it (Tomlinson, Emmitt Smith) and some can't. What caliber of player is he?

Back to Turner . . . he can pump himself up all he wants but I am pretty darn sure that he won't get over 300 touches this season----excluding playoffs, if applicable. ;-) ---To be honest, I have him projected at 292 touches, but I threw in the extra eight b/c you’re fun to talk to. ;-) ----- He's 27 years old and entering his 6th season and is right at the back-end cusp of being in his prime. I think the Falcons are smart enough NOT to overuse him for another year in a row. If they want him to last as a Dirty Bird in the league and get their $$$ worth, they will limit him to around 300, use Gonzo for some critical first-downs, and give Norwood additional touches.

Don't get me wrong, Turner is a great top fantasy pick and he will be productive.
Just not a repeat performance, IMO.
