
Lions choose Matthew Stafford as No. 1 pick
Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford is the Detroit Lions’ No. 1 pick overall and also the owner of the largest contract ever given to a rookie.
According to Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, the deal is worth $78 million over six years and includes $41.7 million in guaranteed money.
