Carlos Marmol came on in the ninth to close out things for the Chicago Cubs against the St. Louis Cardinals today.

The Denver Post’s Troy E. Renck is asserting that the Rockies will make a switch at closer for their series opener tonight against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Fantasy baseball owners should pick up Manny Corpas ASAP.
A couple of days ago, Renck reported that manager Clint Hurdle would use Thursday, the club’s day off, and Friday to re-evaluate the closer’s job. Renck’s suggestion that a change is probably on the way isn’t confirmed – he doesn’t cite a source or suggest there even is one – but it wouldn’t come as a surprise; Renck has his finger on Colorado’s pulse.
