Braylon Edwards would be a good addition in New York
The New York Giants are on the lookout for another No. 1 wideout to replace the released Plaxico Burress. According to reports, they are close to acquiring one – the Cleveland Browns‘ Braylon Edwards.
KFFL’s Ryan R. Bonini has already thrown his two cents into the pot on this subject, so I’m going to play the Wilbon to Bonini’s Kornheiser.
Why haven’t the Giants pulled the trigger on this deal yet?
Cleveland is believed to be asking for the Giants’ 2009 second-round draft pick, a fifth-round pick and wide receiver Steve Smith in exchange for the mercurial Edwards, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Jason Cole. New York has reportedly offered back the same draft picks but thrown in wide receiver Domenik Hixon instead of Smith.
