We’re continuing on with wide receivers in my blog series of free-agent players and keeper leagues. As always, before moving on, a few comments:

I believe wide receivers are the easiest position to waive because they are so deep. You have 64 starting wide receivers and a deep pool of nearly 96 to choose from. I love the latest fantasy sports loop running on ESPNews, featuring ESPN.com’s fantasy guru-slash-god, Matthew Berry.

By love I mean that I disagree with nearly everything he says. Three outfielders going way too early in ESPN fantasy baseball drafts? They are none other than Vladimir Guerrero, Vernon Wells and Delmon Young – three players who happen to be going at a discount compared to years past.

They often fall, with good reason. I’ve already advertised the value to be had in Vlad, though. There are signs he’s on the decline – he’s 34 (at least), a year older (at least) than everyone thought, his body has taken a beating…. Want more? Keep reading…
