What a shocker: The New England Patriots reached into the free-agent market and snagged a 37-year-old player thought by many to be washed up.
With little fanfare, the Patriots added veteran receiver Joey Galloway, who was cast free by the Tampa Bay Bucs after he managed just 13 receptions in an injury-riddled 2008 campaign.
If it were any other team than the Patriots, I’d say: “Who cares?” The Patriots, however, seem to have a mini fountain of youth hiding away (rumor has it that it is right next to the vault that holds all of their video tapes of other teams) and bring out the best in veterans.
