Tomlinson staying in San Diego
Usually the things that make the most sense in the NFL don’t play out, but I’m happy to say that wasn’t the case for San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson.
The Chargers have announced they have signed him to a new three-year deal, through 2011, which essentially throws his old contract out the window. Want more? Keep reading…

Drama continues for Jay Cutler
What is an NFL offseason without a little drama? Usually it doesn’t come out of Denver, but Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler has been the focal point of a lot of speculation for the last few weeks.

I have heard the popular rumors of him joining the Arizona Cardinals or New Orleans Saints in recent days. If nothing more, it at least makes for fun water cooler gossip. Want more? Keep reading…

The fantasy baseball gatekeeper
News: Over the weekend, Vladimir Guerrero admitted that he’s actually a year older than his listed age of 34.
Notes: I have a feeling some fantasy owners will overreact to this. Oh no, his bad knees, his aching back, yadda, yadda, yadda….
Hall of Fame hitter, will finally be healthy after surgery, contract year, good lineup. I smell bounce-back candidate.
News: David Ortiz won’t play first base anymore in the WBC because throwing hurts his shoulder. Red Sox manager Terry Francona said it wouldn’t affect his hitting, though.
Notes: He’s a power hitter, and his shoulder is sore from a little tossing? Big Papi doesn’t exactly have the ideal body type, and injury issues are becoming more frequent. I’m not so inclined to take him unless he falls. Want more? Keep reading…
