Redskins

Robert Griffin III shocked the world with his historic Week 1 effort. While he should be good against the Rams, it is tough to expect such impressive play two weeks in a row. You can bet St. Louis has spent time studied extra film this week. Even still, RGIII is a No. low-end No. 1.

Alfred Morris enjoyed a strong debut and, as long as Mike Shanahan doesn't mettle with his backfield, should produce strong numbers against a maligned Rams run D.

Pierre Garcon (foot) will play as long as he can tolerate the pain. Washington could limit him, especially after how well Aldrick Robinson played with Griffin last Sunday. Santana Moss may see more work this week as a result.

Fred Davis was practically non-existent last week (four targets, two catches). Forget that ... it's a new week, and he has a great matchup. The explosive tight end is a sneak play.

Rams

Sam Bradford remains a middling fantasy option until he proves otherwise. This offense is too conservative, and his weaponry is just average at this point.

Steven Jackson's value is suspect this week. Washington didn't really get a good test on the ground against New Orleans. The versatile back seems like a safer play in PPR leagues.

Danny Amendola is the only Rams receiver you can count on, and his playablity is almost exclusively reserved for point-per-reception affairs. Brandon Gibson has great chemistry with Bradford and could surprise, if you're already desperate for a flier play.

Lance Kendricks will be inconsistent from one week to the next, and it will be near guesswork to predict which game he will see the most involvement. Let's put this way: He's no Jimmy Graham but too could sneak a short-yardage touchdown against the 'Skins.

He is doing everything that the doctors want him to do. He's a great worker. I think that's why there's so much optimism that he'll be ready at the beginning. The Washington Redskins have seven running backs on the roster right now, with only RB Alfred Morris guaranteed of a job in Washington this season.
