The Miami Dolphins and DT Randy Starks are not close on a long-term contract extension. It is expected that Starks will play out the final year of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent after the 2013 season.

Dolphins | Tyson Clabo not yet ready to assume leadership role

Miami Dolphins OT Tyson Clabo believes he has to earn his way into a leadership role with his new team. At 31 years old, he is the second oldest player on Miami's roster. "I don't believe that I just show up and because I'm old that automatically makes me a leader of this team," Clabo said. "Leadership is something that you earn and so I'm just trying to come to work every day and become a part of the team and earn the trust from the guys around me."

Dolphins | Make offer to Vonta Leach

The Miami Dolphins have made an offer to free-agent FB Vonta Leach (Ravens), but Leach will take his time before deciding who to sign with.

Dolphins | Dallas Thomas signed

The Miami Dolphins have signed third-round draft choice OT Dallas Thomas. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Dolphins | Make roster moves

The Miami Dolphins signed WR Joseph Hastings (49ers) and DT Tracy Robertson (Patriots) Thursday, June 13. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. In a corresponding move, the team waived WR Courtney Gardner and FB Ina Liaina.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians likes the pass-catching ability of TE Rob Housler, and his time on the field is likely to be dictated on how much his pass-blocking has improved. TEs Jeff King, Jim Dray and D.C. Jefferson are behind him on the depth chart.

Cardinals | Deal with Jonathan Cooper might take a bit

Arizona Cardinals OG Jonathan Cooper has yet to sign, and it is likely his deal comes close to the start of training camp with the front office mostly on vacation. Cooper is expected to serve as the team's starting left guard.

Arizona Cardinals OG Daryn Colledge is believed to be the starting right offensive guard, and he is viewed as a good fit until rookie OG Earl Watford is considered ready.

Cardinals | RT job up for grabs

Arizona Cardinals OT Bobby Massie was working as the backup left tackle in the last week of minicamp, with OT Nate Potter taking first-team reps at right tackle. Head coach Bruce Arians has said he will move guys around to have them learn as many positions as possible, so the starting right tackle job is still up for grabs. If Potter loses out in the battle, he can also work as a guard.
