The New England Patriots have claimed OT Kevin Haslam off waivers from the San Diego Chargers. The team has also waived OT R.J. Mattes.

New England Patriots RB Brandon Bolden (undisclosed) wasn't on the practice field Tuesday, May 21, because he's still rehabbing from an unrevealed ailment. He's taking part in their offseason program, though.

Patriots | Brandon Spikes punching ticket out of town?

The New England Patriots could part ways with MLB Brandon Spikes after the 2013 season. The impending free agent has expressed displeasure with the Pats' expectations on how he must prepare for the regular season. He wasn't present for the start of OTAs and hasn't participated in their offseason conditioning workouts. The Patriots might prioritize team chemistry and avoid dealing with ongoing and potential headaches Spikes may cause.

Patriots | Danny Amendola gets on same page with Tom Brady

New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola is working on getting on the same page with QB Tom Brady. The two worked out together earlier in the offseason in California and are now taking part in organized team activities. "I said it today; he darted me in the chest with one ball, and inside my head I was like, 'Wow, this guy can really wing it,'" Amendola said after Tuesday's practice. "That's why he's Tom Brady."

Patriots | Rob Gronkowski surgery went smoothly

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft said that the prognosis following arm surgery for TE Rob Gronkowski (forearm, back) was "as good a report as we could hope for."
