Packers

Owners of Aaron Rodgers don't think about benching him, no matter how bad the matchup. The QB will may be without one of his top receivers again this week, but he has the weapons to put up a respectable - if not great - fantasy day.

Cedric Benson is quickly shaping up as a solid play in most weeks. Against the Seahawks' stifling run D, he's not so attractive. Ideally, he's your flex player at most in Week 3.

Greg Jennings (groin) insists that he'll suit up in Week 3, but he may have had a setback in practice. He's just too risky to rely on, especially against Seattle. Jordy Nelson should be a decent start, and perhaps Randall Cobb or even James Jones gets in on the action this time around.

Jermichael Finley made some mistakes in his first two games, and this week, his matchup is pretty tough. Although he's probably your TE1, if you have a solid backup with a more appealing matchup, no one would fault you for making the switch. Finley can still be an option in your flex spot.

Seahawks

Russell Wilson can't catch a break. For the third week in a row, he'll face a really tough D with a good pass rush. Actually, Green Bay's pass rush is great. Hopefully, you're not depending on Wilson.

The Packers aren't quite as tough against the run as they were a couple of years ago, but they're coming around. Still, Marshawn Lynch is proving to be one of those RBs who's almost matchup immune. Seattle depends on him heavily.

If Sidney Rice (knee, shoulders) was 100 percent, as Pete Carroll suggests, perhaps owners could play him confidently in Week 3. The matchup isn't the best, but Rice could still pull off a flex-worthy game. The rest of Seattle's options smell like desperation, although someone in the group could surprise.

Seattle just hasn't utilized the tight end in the passing game very often under Pete Carroll. If you really need a flex player, perhaps Anthony McCoy, in this OK matchup, can get the job done for you, especially if Zach Miller (foot) remains too banged up to steal snaps.

Packers | Alex Green rushed back

Green Bay Packers RB Alex Green (knee) admitted he rushed back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament to compete for carries in training camp last season. He said it was premature, and by December, his knee was sore and swollen.

Packers | Five players signed

The Green Bay Packers have signed free-agent CB Brandon E. Smith (Seahawks), and undrafted free-agent FB Jonathan Amosa (Washington), WR Tyrone Walker (Illinois State), LB Donte Savage (New Mexico State) and LB Jarvis Wilson (Prairie View A&M). Terms of the contracts were not disclosed. The team also released FB Ryan Roberson.

Packers | Eddie Lacy not worried about toe

Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (toe) said he is not worried about his surgically repaired toe and does not believe it will be a problem. "It's nothing that I'm thinking about. I'm pretty sure I won't have any problems with it. It's holding up good. The surgery was basically perfect, and now it's about getting back to doing what I know how to do best," Lacy said.

Packers | Eddie Lacy thinks he will fit offense

Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy said he believes he will fit in the offense well this season. "I feel that I can fit into the offense perfectly. They won't have to change anything. I'll be able to go in there and adapt to it. It'll keep defenses guessing," Lacy said.
