Bills

Ryan Fitzpatrick hasn't exactly been stellar in his career against the Jets. Give him a seat on your fantasy bench.

Fred Jackson should be in your lineup for sure, and C.J. Spiller has modest value this week. NYJ is stronger against the pass than the run.

Stevie Johnson (groin) is questionable after being limited in practice Friday. The verbose wideout had offseason surgery on his groin. He is likely to be a game-time decision, but we advise sitting him even if he suits up. It is tough to recommend anyone else if Johnson sits.

Scott Chandler is a flex play but has more value if Johnson doesn't play. He is mainly a red zone threat.

Jets

Mark Sanchez shouldn't be relied on until he shows he has a grasp of running Tony Sparano's offense. Meanwhile, Tim Tebow should not be on a fantasy roster.

Shonn Greene has a pretty good matchup based on last year's stats, but the addition of Mario Williams and return of Kyle Williams should negate that. Without a respectable passing game, Greene should see stacked boxes.

Santonio Holmes is a No. 3 this week, and a risky one at that. Rookie Stephen Hill is an inconsistent deep threat; do you really want to count on that in Week 1?

Dustin Keller (back) was has been limited in practice and shouldn't be high on your radar in a deep tight end pool, despite a strong matchup.

Buffalo Bills TE Chris Gragg worked with the first-team offense during organized team activities Thursday, May 23, because TE Lee Smith (undisclosed) did not participate.

Bills | Scott Chandler thinks he can be ready for camp

Buffalo Bills TE Scott Chandler (knee) has been running well at offseason workouts and believes he could be ready for the start of training camp. Chandler has started running routes a few weeks ago and is running routes and catching passes this week.

Bills | OC says EJ Manuel has to work on things

Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett said QB EJ Manuel needs to work on all parts of his game to become a better quarterback. "He's a young man that's got to work on a lot of things from footwork to progressions to plays to formations, everything. Defenses in the NFL are obviously a little different. He's got to work on that too. He's got to work on everything," Hackett said.

Bills | DC says Aaron Williams doing well with position change

Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Mike Pettine said FS Aaron Williams has done well in his transition from cornerback to safety. "He's doing a nice job, and that's a difficult thing," Pettine said. "You could make the argument, he's a DB and he's staying at DB. But the safety world is very different from the corner world. He's very intelligent. He's soaking it all in. Every day is a challenge for him as far as new concepts in the play book. I think he's done a real nice job buying in and really getting quickly to the graduate level details of it."

Bills | Stevie Johnson back on the field

Buffalo Bills WR Stevie Johnson (back) was back on the field for voluntary offseason workouts after resting because of a lower-back injury. He was running routes during individual drills. "It definitely feels good to just be out there on the field, even through the little pains I have," Johnson said. "It's getting better every week," he said of the back malady. "They gave me a six- to eight-week thing to even get on the field, and it's only been about three, so I feel good."

Jets | Players not backing Mark Sanchez?

An anonymous New York Jets player said that the team is skeptical about QB Mark Sanchez and his ability to be successful. "Everyone on the team likes Mark personally, but there's a general feeling among some of the players that maybe it's time to give someone else a chance." The player said 80 to 90 percent of the roster agrees with that statement. Sanchez is still trying to figure out the team's new West Coast offense.

Jets | Coach unhappy with Mark Sanchez's OTA performance

New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan said he was disappointed with QB Mark Sanchez after he threw three interceptions during organized team activities Wednesday, May 22. "Yeah, it is. Absolutely. It's a good thing defense makes the plays, but no, I'd rather him not turn the ball over once," Ryan said. "He did a lot of great things, and then those negative things, at the end of the day, that's what gets you beat. And so we got to do a better job of eliminating those turnovers."

Jets | Santonio Holmes not expected to take part in minicamp

New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan said he does not believe that WR Santonio Holmes (foot) will be able to participate in the team's minicamp in June.

Jets | Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith struggle

New York Jets QBs Mark Sanchez and Geno Smith both struggled during organized team activities Wednesday, May 22, with Sanchez completing only six of his 11 passes, including three interceptions. Sanchez worked with the first-team unit, although he and Smith received basically the same number of snaps. Smith completed only three of 10 passes with an interception.
