Is Roy Helu the latest Redskins fantasy football tease?

The Washington Redskins have been a thorn in the side of fantasy football players most of the season. If there is such a thing as cruel and unusual punishment in fantasy sports, the Redskins and head coach Mike Shanahan are probably it.

Roy Helu, RB, Washington Redskins

Are you willing to give Helu a chance?

To start the year, Rex Grossman, Tim Hightower and Santana Moss showed some promise, but it quickly fell apart. Fast forward to present day: There is a very different group of characters starting and it has become a very fluid, ugly situation.

Coming out of Week 9, we may have one potential bright spot in this steaming pile of muck known as the Washington offense ... rookie running back Roy Helu Jr. Tap your mouse here for more »

Will No. 4 be there?

Will No. 4 be there?

The 2010 NFL regular season schedule will come out later today, but we already know which game will kick off the season: The New Orleans Saints will play host to the Minnesota Vikings.

This should be a great kickoff to the season, pitting last year's NFC Championship Game opponents against each other. Now the big question moving forward will be whether or not good ole' Brett Favre will be the Vikings starting quarterback in that game. Tap your mouse here for more »

A Daily Fantasy

We have yet to see Donovan McNabb sporting a Washington Redskins jersey, but thanks to Madden Football, we can check out a computer-generated preview. Oh, the joys of technology and video game fun.

Speaking of Madden... I'm the guy who buys a new Madden game almost every year. I'll play it one or two times, then it goes on the shelf where it collects dust. Tap your mouse here for more »

Stranded on an island...

I'm continuing my run through DVR shows, losing critical beauty sleep at night. On tap this week has been Lost, and I definitely will admit the show title easily sums up my feelings in regards to what is going on with it.

It's an enjoyable show, has some likeable characters (like the pictured Evangeline Lilly) and it is fun trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Unfortunately, part of me thinks when they try to wrap it all up at the end of the season everyone will be left feeling disappointed and, well, lost. Tap your mouse here for more »

A good reason to watch Chuck

In between Easter ham, finalizing 2009 taxes and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb changing zip codes, I was able to get caught up on this season of Chuck on DVR. How did I ever live without DVR?

By the way, if you enjoy mindless, cheesy humor and looking at Yvonne Strahovski, give Chuck a shot. Tap your mouse here for more »

A Daily Fantasy…

Rachel McAdamsSeeing the NFL has finally quieted down, I'm finally getting a caught up on all of the movies I missed out on.

Of the huge lot of flicks, I was reminded how much I need to stalk Rachel McAdams.

Two of the flicks included Sherlock Holmes and The Time Traveler's Wife, both staring McAdams, and both enjoyable movies. When I reiterated my love for her to the staff recently, I was quickly reminded by Bryce McRae, our resident Canuck, that Rachel is Canadian. Consider me hooked, eh. Tap your mouse here for more »

Capital Punishment in D.C.

Capital punishment in D.C.

Capital punishment will have a new meaning in D.C. this year, and fantasy football players won't be happy with the results. Then again, it isn't often many people are happy with what happens in D.C.

For years, fantasy football players always - and often without just cause in more recent years - looked at Mike Shanahan coached backfields and keyed on his running backs for fantasy success. The Shanahan-led Denver Broncos seemed to produce 1,000-yard running backs year after year.  Tap your mouse here for more »

Poll: Where will Jay Cutler be traded?

Where will quarterback Jay Cutler play in the 2009 season and beyond?

That is the question we all find ourselves discussing around the water cooler today.

The Denver Broncos, as reported yesterday, plan to actively try to send their disgruntled quarterback elsewhere. A deal will likely come in the next few weeks, so it is in place before the 2009 NFL Draft, but which team will jump up to the plate and consummate a deal with Denver?

Cast your vote and let us hear your thoughts!
