A Daily Fantasy

I need to move to Elm Street...

The NFL Draft is finally behind us. Before we know it, training camps and the 2010 fantasy football season will be here.  In the mean time, rookie minicamps, team minicamps and the closing out of the free-agent market remains.

For the most part, however, the next three months will be relatively quiet on the NFL front. That gives us all time to catch our breath a little bit, take in some summer blockbuster movies (starting with A Nightmare on Elm Street remake this weekend) and start preparing for the 2010 fantasy football season.

NFL Draft Day in review... KFFL.com's Cory J. Bonini broke down some winners and losers from the NFL Draft earlier this week. Check out his thoughts on the best - and worst - from the AFC as well as the best - and worst - from the NFC.

A Daily Fantasy

The 2010 NFL Draft is in the books; and, as always, it was a very enjoyable ride. Mark me down as a huge fan of the new three-day format; well done, NFL.

I always found the old format to be very overwhelming. This new style, which I hope continues, allows you to sit back, take everything in and evaluate changes more logically.

Not only are there a lot of new fresh faces in the league from the NFL Draft selections, there are also some veterans who changed teams due to trades. Tap your mouse here for more »

Jason Campbell joins Oakland Raiders

The new Oakland starter?

Jason Campbell is now a member of the Oakland Raiders, adding further doubt to the possibility of former No. 1 overall pick JaMarcus Russell remaining as the Raiders' starting quarterback... and, possibly, even with the team.

Campbell was acquired in a NFL Draft day trade with the Washington Redskins, as the Raiders will give up a 2012 fourth-round selection. After the deal was completed, the Raiders quickly signed Campbell to a two-year extension, so he is no longer in the final year of his rookie deal.

No. 1 getting complicated?

Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford isn't going to have a contract in place with the St. Louis Rams before the NFL Draft according to reports. He isn't comfortable having a deal in place and wants to see what happens during the NFL Draft. The Rams are fine with it, as they know the numbers and feel confident Bradford would eventually sign his deal provided he is the pick. Tap your mouse here for more »

A Daily Fantasy…

Stranded on an island...

I'm continuing my run through DVR shows, losing critical beauty sleep at night. On tap this week has been Lost, and I definitely will admit the show title easily sums up my feelings in regards to what is going on with it.

It's an enjoyable show, has some likeable characters (like the pictured Evangeline Lilly) and it is fun trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Unfortunately, part of me thinks when they try to wrap it all up at the end of the season everyone will be left feeling disappointed and, well, lost. Tap your mouse here for more »

A good reason to watch Chuck

In between Easter ham, finalizing 2009 taxes and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb changing zip codes, I was able to get caught up on this season of Chuck on DVR. How did I ever live without DVR?

By the way, if you enjoy mindless, cheesy humor and looking at Yvonne Strahovski, give Chuck a shot. Tap your mouse here for more »

A Daily Fantasy…

Rachel McAdamsSeeing the NFL has finally quieted down, I'm finally getting a caught up on all of the movies I missed out on.

Of the huge lot of flicks, I was reminded how much I need to stalk Rachel McAdams.

Two of the flicks included Sherlock Holmes and The Time Traveler's Wife, both staring McAdams, and both enjoyable movies. When I reiterated my love for her to the staff recently, I was quickly reminded by Bryce McRae, our resident Canuck, that Rachel is Canadian. Consider me hooked, eh. Tap your mouse here for more »

Captain Obvious: Time to cut your Oakland Raiders

So much talent, so little production...

So much talent, so little production...

Let me put my cool Captain Obvious hat on: The Oakland Raiders are horrible!

Just how horrible are they in fantasy football?

In standard fantasy football scoring, the Raiders are led by place kicker Sebastian Janikowski in fantasy points (24). Sadly, it is not because he had a strong first month - he is the 22nd ranked fantasy kicker so far.

Running back Darren McFadden (knee), who is out possibly for the next month, is the next best at 23 points, just a point behind their kicker.  Tap your mouse here for more »
