Fantasy Football: Randy Moss and the Minnesota Vikings (Updated)

Randy Moss

Purple must be Moss' color

Even with a bye week on tap, the New England Patriots and wide receiver Randy Moss were at the center of attention Tuesday evening. By Wednesday morning, Moss was no longer a member of the Patriots and is once again sporting the purple helmet he donned when he first entered the NFL many years ago.

The Minnesota Vikings are once again Moss' home.

Brett Favre takes the snap. He looks left. He looks right. He fires a deep pass to... Randy Moss. Touchdown!

That scenario is possible as early as this weekend. Tap your mouse here for more »

Fantasy football gamble: Laurence Maroney

Laurence Maroney has made himself an easy option for fantasy football participants to give up on.

Worth the gamble in 2010

With four NFL seasons under his belt, Maroney has laid more than his fair share of eggs. He has yet to rush for 850 yards in a season. He hasn't played a full 16-game season to date. He doesn't catch a lot of passes. Fumbling issues last year led to head coach Bill Belichick benching him late in the year.

So why am I trying to snag him - and recommending you do the same - wherever possible in fantasy football drafts this year? Tap your mouse here for more »

A Daily Fantasy

Feels like Christmas...

Today feels a little bit like Christmas; minus the fact that Lindsay Lohan won't be under my tree.

By the time this weekend is complete, each NFL team will have new presents on offense, defense and special teams that hopefully improve their squad from a year ago.

Yesterday, I "Rocked the Mock" with my picks for the first round of today's NFL Draft. Tap your mouse here for more »

Will Megatron rebound in 2010?

Random questions were posed to KFFL.com’s team of editors. Some queries are hypothetical. Most of them deal with fantasy football, while others address the NFL Draft. Each editor’s response is his own view of the situation at hand, so the answers may vary from the KFFL consensus. Tap your mouse here for more »

A Daily Fantasy…

Definitely a member of the A-Team...

As I mentioned yesterday, I'm having fun getting caught up on all of the movies and TV I've missed out on the last eight months. From V to Flash Forward to Chuck, it has been a fun ride. I was a bit disappointed with the end of Nip/Tuck (one of my all-time favorites), but it was an understandable end considering the volatile nature of the show and characters.

What has me the most excited is the movie version of a childhood classic, the A-Team. For those that haven't seen the second trailer, bang it here to check it out. I'll be there on opening night June 11, barring some oddball NFL craziness changing my schedule. Oh, did I mention Jessica Biel will be in it? Tap your mouse here for more »

Don't ignore Joey Galloway in fantasy football drafts

I love this time of year, as fantasy football players start lining up their fantasy league football drafts one after another. Along the way, results of many drafts are being tracked to create Average Draft Position (ADP) reports and show everyone where players are typically drafted.

For the last few weeks, I have been paying close attention to the ADP reports on KFFL.com (powered by our good friends at Mock Draft Central). In some situations, it amazes me how few times certain players are selected.

In a standard 12-team league with a 16-man roster, there are a handful of players not being selected in every draft that I feel should be.

New England Patriots wide receiver Joey Galloway is one of those players. Tap your mouse here for more »

New England Patriots sign WR Joey Galloway

What a shocker: The New England Patriots reached into the free-agent market and snagged a 37-year-old player thought by many to be washed up.

With little fanfare, the Patriots added veteran receiver Joey Galloway, who was cast free by the Tampa Bay Bucs after he managed just 13 receptions in an injury-riddled 2008 campaign.

If it were any other team than the Patriots, I'd say: "Who cares?" The Patriots, however, seem to have a mini fountain of youth hiding away (rumor has it that it is right next to the vault that holds all of their video tapes of other teams) and bring out the best in veterans.
