The largest potential fantasy sports story from over the weekend actually surrounds the NFL and NFL Players Association. The NFLPA is set to decertify by March 3, which puts the whole 2011 NFL season in even further jeopardy. [ESPN.com] Tap your mouse here for more »
Fantasy Hockey: Pickup G Al Montoya
Fantasy hockey leagues are in the stretch run for the playoffs, and I'm a firm believer you can never have too many goalies withn upside. Consider picking up New York Islanders goalie Al Montoya, who is 3-1-1 this season. He is allowing 1.89 GAA per game, with a save percentage of .935. He also picked up one shut out. Sure, the Islanders aren't going to be confused with a good team any time soon, but they have some young talent and are putting the puck in the net. Montoya isn't guaranteed playing time long term, but if he keeps playing well he will be tough to keep off the ice for the goalie-hungry Isles. He is only owned in 12 percent of leagues at Yahoo!, too.

Fantasy football average draft positions in February? You betcha. [ProFootballFocus.com]
The fantasy football mock draft I've pointed out recently at BrunoBoys.net continued into the fifth round recently. Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley and Washington Redskins running back Ryan Torain are two of the picks I have the hardest time with that early. Would you invest a fifth-round pick in either? [BrunoBoys.net] Tap your mouse here for more »

Jimmy Graham time in the Big Easy?
New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham caught 31 passes for 356 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie, and he stands to sky rocket up fantasy football draft boards later this year with the Saints cutting oft-injured Jeremy Shockey today. While Graham will have a bigger role -- and we'll be breaking his fantasy football projections down later this spring -- one has to remember Saints quarterback Drew Brees loves to spread the football around, as does head coach Sean Payton's offensive system. Don't get too excited and start thinking of Graham as a top-five fantasy option just yet....

I'm not a believer, but the folks at LestersLegends.com are making a case for quarterback Michael Vick to be selected as the No. 1 overall in fantasy football drafts this year. [LestersLegends.com]
I'm loving the early fantasy football mock drafts. No CBA in place, the NFL Draft months away and who knows when - or if - free agency will take place. That isn't stopping drafts from happening. In Round 4, we see the likes of Dez Bryant, Austin Collie and Kenny Britt coming off the board. Too early for my liking, but they introduce interesting debates for a quiet time.
