The catching situation in the Bronx appeared to be relatively clear when the New York Yankees inked Russell Martin to a $4 million deal including incentives over the winter. Martin would be the full-time catcher and aging backstop Jorge Posada would become the full-time DH.

Three pitchers and some Vladdy
Before the season started, I was touting Vladimir Guerrero as an undervalued aging veteran. If you bought into it, you are thanking me now.
