Jose Reyes to start 2010 on DL
Adam Rubin, of the New York Daily News, reports New York Mets shortstop Jose Reyes (thyroid) will open the 2010 season on the disabled list because of elevated thyroid levels. Reyes' agent, Peter Greenberg, and general manager Omar Minaya said that Reyes will not have any physical exertion for the next two to eight weeks. Texas Rangers 3B Michael Young likely out at least two weeks

Jeff Wilson, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports Texas Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said the team is bracing to be without third baseman Michael Young (hamstring) for two weeks, and possibly longer.
