Pitching wins FANTASY baseball championships, too

Wow. What a way to end the 2011 Major League Baseball season, huh? I'm sure most of you die-hard baseball fans were glued to the tube last night to witness the epic choke jobs by the Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox. Much props to the Tampa Bay Rays and St. Louis Cardinals for never giving up. It's definitely going to take some wild stuff to top that in the postseason, though.

Dexter McCluster isn’t the savior for Kansas City

A lot can change in a year, just ask the Kansas City Chiefs. After two weeks of the 2011 schedule, the Chiefs have lost their best player on offense and defense. That's just rough. Jamaal Charles and Eric Berry are both on Injured Reserve with torn ACLs.

Some hope for Cam Newton. But how much can we expect?

After a shocking performance from Carolina Panthers rookie quarterback Cam Newton in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals, the Week 2 waiver wire is busy with pickups of the former Auburn product. Newton torched the Cards for 422 yards and two touchdowns, and he also added one rushing score.

Football fans across the globe can finally exhale. Yes, after a tumultuous offseason that included a painful lockout, Week 1 of the NFL is upon us.
