Wild Card Weekend predictions

It is the season of NFL playoff brackets, and I have released mine on KFFL.com. You can also find the brackets for fellow KFFL editors and a group bracket.

I struggled with a few selections for this weekend's games, but I ultimately decided on my playoff predictions despite much angst. Tap your mouse here for more »

Fantasy football wide receiver targets and stashes

We are getting awfully close to that time of the year (no, not the holidays), as fantasy football regular seasons are winding down and the playoff landscape is being finalized over the remaining few weeks of play.

This had me thinking about which players I wanted to stash and target in some of my leagues. Stash players: I'm referring to those hardly known, seldom used options that a make you gasp upon realizing your opponent had the fortitude to put the player into their lineup against you.

Targeted players include midrange options that you can probably land on the cheap, if your league allows trading. Today's focus is the wide receiver position. Tap your mouse here for more »

Forget the past, it’s a new season … sorta

Draft Grapevine: Top three picks

No free agency transaction so far has mattered as much to the landscape of the 2010 NFL Draft as the Detroit Lions trading for Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Corey Williams. Biggest need: quarterback

The Rams have many, many holes to fill, naturally, but quarterback is their biggest need. St. Louis can go several routes, so this is far from etched into stone. Tap your mouse here for more »

Ten things I learned from Super Bowl XLIV

How about the New Orleans Saints? A great game was played by both squads, and it really came down to a few key plays, as it should have.

A spin around the league

cory-j-bonini-misanthropic-musing

What a treat this week of football will be! We have a marquee Monday night game and a bevy of Thanksgiving matchups to feast our eyes on throughout the day. The NFL playoff landscape is shaping up nicely, and most fantasy football leagues are inching closer to the playoffs.

Everyone likes a little variety in their holiday dinner, so please bear with me as I hop around the NFL. Tap your mouse here for more »

Five early Week 10 sleepers

Check back with us for more Week 10 sleepers in our Weekly Playbook section.

LenDale White, running back, Tennessee Titans: The Buffalo Bills' defense is allowing an NFL-high 192.3 yards per game to backs in the past month. They have given up 1.67 touchdowns per contest, too. White is a closer and doesn't play much if his team isn't sitting on a comfy lead; you shouldn't have to worry about that being a problem this week. Tap your mouse here for more »

Time to make a few fantasy football trades!

cory-j-bonini-misanthropic-musing

I view it as fantasy football's version of the Procession of the Equinoxes.

It stems from the common mistake made by fantasy owners when prepping for their drafts: Said player's stats at last season's end do not automatically mean he will be in the same position of success in the upcoming season.

It seems like common sense, no? Tap your mouse here for more »
