Fantasy football IDP sleepers

KFFL has never offered an extensive amount of IDP coverage, as we really don't get much request for it, but here are a few sleepers that I like to target.

Pat Angerer, outside linebacker, Indianapolis Colts

He should be a tackle machine and plays with an edge. Clint Session is gone, so look for Angerer to start on the strong side. He posted 88 stops in 11 starts last year. Angerer forced one fumble and tallied a sack. He should be a good value pick in tackle-heavy scoring formats.

Louis Delmas, free safety, Detroit Lions

Louis Delmas, FS, Detroit Lions

I'm not sure Delmas is much of a sleeper to the in tune IDP owner, but casual fans may not know of him. Detroit's free safety is competent against the pass (two career INTs, including a 101-yard TD return) and can play the run rather well. He has 178 total tackles in 30 career games and may fly under the radar in novice IDP leagues.

Mason Foster, middle linebacker, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers' rookie thumper won't see time on third downs but that didn't stop then-Tennessee Titan Stephen Tulloch from racking up a healthy 160 tackles a year ago. Foster can hit with the best of them (ask Chad Ochocinco!), has awareness and a keen sense of where to be on defense. Expect big things from Foster in tackle-centric fantasy leagues.

Brian Robison, defensive end, Minnesota Vikings

Ray Edwards left in free agency, so Robison finally gets his chance to shine. He has a relentless motor and has shown flashes as a rotational player. Jared Allen will command double-teams opposite Robison, and it's not like the NFC North is chock-full of strong offensive lines. Don't count on him for tackles, though.

Craig Dahl, free safety, St. Louis Rams

Dahl started 13 games last year and posted 98 stops. He isn't likely to be well-known in casual leagues and could provide a lot of bang for your buck late in drafts. He forced a fumble, logged a sack and defensed six passes a year ago. Dahl also picked off two balls in 2010 and should be given freedom to roam in St. Louis' aggressive defense. He also won't have Oshiomogho Atowge to steal tackles from him.

Just so  you guys know, I use your weekly IDP rankings with much success.

Thanks and keep up the great work.

Dahl is not starting this year. Geezus. Look forward, not behind.

patrick peterson has been named the starter in ARI now that Toler is out hurt.  don’t be surprised that teams want to throw at a rookie, but really his value is in leagues that have return yardage.
