Greinke headed to Milwaukee
The Milwaukee Brewers received starting pitcher Zack Greinke from the Kansas City Royals, in exchange for outfielder Lorenzo Cain, shortstop Alcides Escobar, pitcher Joe Odorizzi and pitcher Jeremy Jeffress, according to Andrew Wagner, of OnMilwaukee.com. Ken Rosenthal, of FOXSports.com, reports the Royals will also receive shortstop Yuniesky Betancourt and $2 million.
Some reports exclude Jeffress from the deal, instead suggesting a player to be named will be added to the deal.

Updating a previous item, Los Angeles Dodgers OF Andre Ethier (finger) has a fractured bone at the end of his right pinkie and isn't sure how long he'll be sidelined. Ethier, who was hitting .392 at the time of the injury, sustained the fracture during batting practice Saturday, May 15. The Associated Press reports Ethier will be examined by a hand specialist in Los Angeles on Sunday, May 16. "It's a big thing," Ethier said. Todd Zolecki, of MLB.com, reports the Philadelphia Phillies have placed RP Brad Lidge (elbow) on the 15-day disabled list. Lidge has two options: He can receive his second cortisone shot since March or a joint lubrication injection. The Phillies will make the decision Monday, May 17.
