NFL Senior Bowl thoughts
One step of the lengthy process in evaluating 2011 NFL Draft prospects is out of the way, as the Senior Bowl week wrapped up with a convincing 24-10 win by the South squad in Saturday's game.
Last year's draft included 84 players, 10 of which went in the first round, from the 2010 Senior Bowl game. Tap your mouse here for more »
2010 Projections Review – WR: Where we went wrong
After taking last week off of evaluating our 2010 fantasy football projections, I return to check out the wide receiver position.
I'm proud to announce KFFL.com did well at the FSWA event in Las Vegas this week, coming away with two writer awards, a fourth-place finish for accuracy in baseball projections and a sixth-place result in football forecasting. We were strongest at quarterback and tight end, which generally hasn't been the case for us. Unfortunately, we regressed in running backs and wideouts. Assuming we have a season in 2011 to project for, finding balance is paramount. Tap your mouse here for more »
2010 Projections Review – RB: What we did well
Last week I reviewed KFFL.com's 2010 fantasy football quarterback projections - both good and bad. I want to continue the evaluation, but I'm going to pear down the approach this time around.
The position is running backs, and the topic is what we did well. The fantasy points included are based on non-PPR scoring. We compared the player's projected total from our 2010 draft guide to each rusher's actual totals. Tap your mouse here for more »

2010 Projections Review – QBs: What we did well
Earlier this week I broke down where our 2010 fantasy football quarterback projections went awry. We are dedicated to improving our future projections, even if it means that we have to show our flaws.
Today, however, the focus is on what we did well at the position. This isn't a bragging session but rather a means to help identify trends and lessons learned. Tap your mouse here for more »
2010 Projections Review – QBs: Where we went wrong
I firmly believe one of the foundations of developing accurate fantasy football projections is to understand where you went wrong the previous year. Recognizing mistakes and learning from them is the primary goal when reviewing; anyone can have dumb luck and come close a few times, but true, long-term success is measured by consistent production.
We projected roughly 700 players last year, so I'll chip away at the positions over the coming weeks to show you where we went wrong, what we did well, and how we will go about avoiding the same mistakes in 2011. Tap your mouse here for more »
