Senior Bowl recap

The 2012 Senior Bowl is in the books, so join along for a recap of which players stood out and helped their draft stock.

The week of practices, followed by the North squad's 23-13 win, is a helpful tool for pro scouts when evaluating how prospects perform in an NFL-like setting. Tap your mouse here for more »

Players to watch during the Senior Bowl

The Senior Bowl week is in full swing, and a few key prospects need to have strong showings to help ease doubts about whether they belong in the pros. Some players have already done just that, and a few will need to carry over any potentially strong outings to the NFL Scouting Combine. Tap your mouse here for more »

What could happen when politics impact fantasy football

I wanted to take a moment to use this platform to advocate against something that is near and dear to me. While political talk can be very divisive, as well as often downright nasty, a current piece of legislation making its way through our United States Congress is threatening the very liberties that make the Internet such a wonderful source of easily available information. St. Louis Rams: What to do with Pick No. 2?

The Indianapolis Colts' first overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft should come as no surprise, but the debate of which position the St. Louis Rams should address rages on.

The Rams, now under the guidance of head coach Jeff Fisher, have many holes to fill, and several players should come into consideration for them. However, I think the case can be made for one player above all: Oklahoma State wideout Justin Blackmon. Tap your mouse here for more »

Hue Jackson’s demise as the head coach of the Oakland Raiders

New Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie - the Green Bay Packers' director of football operations since 1994 - put his stamp on the organization by making his first move the dismissal of head coach Hue Jackson in a move that reeked of Al Davis.

Jackson's Raiders went 8-8 in 2011 after a 7-4 start. Finishing 1-4 over the final five games, including blowout losses to the Green Bay Packers and San Diego Chargers, may have been the proverbial nail in the coach's coffin. Tap your mouse here for more »

Pick which team will win the Super Bowl

The NFL playoffs are almost upon us, so which team is your early favorite to win the Super Bowl?

It is hard to root against the Green Bay Packers, but something about the defensively challenged New England Patriots intrigues me. While all of the playoff spots haven't been finalized, we have a pretty good idea of which teams should be there in January. For the sake of fairness, I have included every playoff-eligible team in the following poll. Tap your mouse here for more »

Thursday Thoughts: LaMichael James’ decision and a fantasy football sleeper

I probably should be writing about fantasy football right now, but the news of Oregon Ducks junior running back LaMichael James' plan to declare for the 2012 NFL Draft is on my brain. His decision is not surprising, but what might be is where this ultra-productive talent comes off the board in next April's extravaganza.  Tap your mouse here for more »

Life after Greg Jennings in the Green Bay passing game

The Green Bay Packers' loss of Greg Jennings (knee) for what will likely be the rest of the regular season should send you to the waiver wire; look no further than some of his teammates.

Veteran Donald Driver should assume the role of the primary possession receiver, but that may not translate into a lot of production since there are so many short-range weapons in this offense. The old man of this group is a low-end flex play in point-per-reception leagues. Tap your mouse here for more »
