Now that Oakland Raiders running back LaMont Jordan has had one solid game statistically under his belt, what does this mean for his fantasy value?

The Raiders played the Cleveland Browns in Week 4, a team notorious for horrendous run defense while on the road. The team has allowed 20 rushers to exceed 100 yards in the past 21 games on the road. Don't put too much weight into the performance, in which Jordan rushed 20 times for 128 yards and scored on a 59-yard touchdown run. The long touchdown scamper was the second longest of his career. He caught two passes for 13 yards, his first two receptions of the season. Jordan was utilized 22 times, accounting for 40 percent of the team's offense. He was not utilized in the red zone. That was his healthiest amount of utilizations in one game this year.

Wide receiver Randy Moss caught his first touchdown reception of the season in Week 4. He finished the day with the lone catch for a five-yard score. Moss was thrown to seven times by second-year quarterback Andrew Walter, who was making his first career start. Walter was less-than-stellar by throwing 9-for-23, 68 yards with one touchdown and one interception. It is pretty tough as a receiver to post exceptional production when your quarterback is playing miserable football.

Fantasy Outlook

What does all of this mean for your fantasy squad if you are a not-so-proud owner of Jordan or Moss? Jordan owners should look to deal him away right now if possible to take advantage of the strong Week 4 showing. If he comes out in Week 5 and lays a goose egg your chances of finding a trading partner may not be as high, but you should look to get what you can out of Jordan.

If you choose to hang tough and stick it out, he does have a few matchups coming up that are enticing. In Week 5, the Raiders play the San Francisco 49ers, who allowed over 100 yards and two scores to the position last week alone. The Raiders play the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7. After Week 5 would be the ideal time to unload Jordan, however.

As for Moss, it is going to be nearly impossible to get what he is worth on paper, but he will likely turn it around some as the season progresses. For now, patiently hang onto him for the time being.
