Fantasy football busts: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down fantasy football busts of the week. Some high-level players will be included, because you need to know when is time to sit a player even though it may not seem appropriate. Primarily, however, we will address the midrange to low-end fantasy options that you rack your brain over each week. Read on to learn which of these players that you wouldn't want in your lineup.

Note: All statistical averages are from Week 1 to Week 4, unless otherwise specified.

Fantasy football busts: Defensive teams

Green Bay Packers at Washington Redskins

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 1

  • Washington's Donovan McNabb has done a good job avoiding the rush and protecting the ball. He has been sacked just twice in the last two weeks and has thrown only two picks in that time.
  • Morgan Burnett (knee) was lost for the season, and Green Bay's secondary depth was already a problem. They gave up 331 passing yards to the Detroit Lions' Shaun Hill last week.
McNabb likes to toss the ball deep, and he could find success attacking Green Bay in this manner.
  • The Redskins' rushing game hasn't done much this year, at all, but with Ryan Torain taking over as the lead back, it could be a shot in the arm. Green Bay's rushing defense hasn't lived up to the standard it set in '09.

Tennessee Titans at Dallas Cowboys

Fantasy value: Bench

  • Tennessee has 16 sacks on the season, but six of those came in Week 4. Don't expect a similar number from the 'Boys, who haven't given up a sack in their last two games.
The Titans have also been hurt by injuries to their line (Derrick Morgan) and the secondary (Jason McCourty).
  • Dallas jumpstarted their passing attack in Week 3. With Miles Austin, Roy Williams, Dez Bryant and Jason Witten and going up against an overmatched secondary, it could be a long day for Tennessee's defense.
  • The Cowboys' running game has been a disappointment, but they're planning to utilize Felix Jones more often following their bye. Plus, they've had an extra week to prepare for the Titans.
