Your fantasy baseball cheat sheets won't help you after spring training. If your team remains the same after opening day, you will have trouble competing in your rotisserie baseball league. Do you need to replace your fantasy baseball busts? Which fantasy baseball players can you ignore? KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market gives you fantasy baseball tips and insight to sort through the masses quickly. Key
OutfieldersSeth Smith, OF, Colorado Rockies Rockies manager Jim Tracy started the lefty-hitting Smith on Opening Day in place of Dexter Fowler. Regarding the switch-hitting Fowler, Tracy said, "Dexter, left-handed, is still working some things out." Smith crushes righties and was successful in platoon duty last season. Tracy's matchup playing, which also will account for righty bat Ryan Spilborghs, should give Smith a set workload for the short term. Long term, it's safe to bet on the Rox reincorporating Fowler against righties. They like having Smith as a pinch-hitting dynamo. Roto players shouldn't heavily commit to Smith, but he's a prime deep target with a definitive playing schedule for the near future. Shallow mixed: Pass Deep mixed: Watch NL-only: Acquire Jim Edmonds, OF, Milwaukee Brewers Edmonds' strong spring gave the 39-year-old the Opening Day gig in right field, supplanting the struggling Corey Hart. This screams of a potential platoon, or at least giving the lefty-hitting Edmonds frequent at-bats against tough righties. Keep your ties to Edmonds loose.
