KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Diamond Market gives you candid reviews and ratings of fantasy baseball players making MLB news in your rotisserie or head-to-head baseball leagues. Are they trade bait or worth your FAAB dollars in your fantasy baseball games?

Erasmo Ramirez, SP, Seattle Mariners

Milwaukee Brewers 1B Corey Hart
Hart broken

An elbow strain ended a quietly effective MLB stint for the now 22-year-old. He returned to the rotation Tuesday with a seven-inning gem (two runs on six hits and one walk to go along with six K's) at the Toronto Blue Jays for his first major league victory. His 33:8 punch-out-to-free-pass ratio in 38 2/3 big-league frames says there's a decent command profile here with a fastball that grazes the mid-90s.

Though they'd like to see him induce more grounders, Seattle appreciates the maturity and guile he's shown so far and wants to see more of what he can offer. Depending on how the M's handle their crowded rotation, he'll probably pitch in a hurler-helping environment at least twice (hosting the Baltimore Orioles, possibly a trip to Anaheim or Oakland) the rest of the way. While a few dates with the Texas Rangers loom as danger zones, streamers shouldn't ignore the righty if he lines up for an attractive matchup.

Travis Ishikawa, 1B, Milwaukee Brewers

Corey Hart (plantar fasciitis in his left foot) might either be playing through pain, resting often or shut down soon. Ishikawa's glove offers Milwaukee a good Scoresheet-level substitution. He's on the majority side of a batting platoon, and he might hit sixth on occasion, but unless you play in formats that reward OBP, SLG and fielding stats, he's not going to turn your team's tides toward a title.

Maybe the slightly more intriguing Taylor Green or another backup diamond defender will split time with Ishikawa, but any dual-universe player that has to dig that deep - heck, even with Ishikawa - probably isn't competing or is in dire roster danger.
