Fantasy football busts: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down the fantasy football sleepers of the week. We will avoid marquee names because players of that caliber are rarely benched, regardless of their matchup. Instead, we will focus on the players that make your fantasy lineup decisions stressful each week. Read on to learn which midrange to low-end players that you wouldn't necessarily consider that you need to get into your lineup.

Note: All statistics are from Week 9 to Week 12, unless otherwise noted.

Fantasy football busts: Wide receivers

Robert Meachem, New Orleans Saints at Washington Redskins

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 2

• Meachem has scored in five TDs in his last four games - at least one in each game. He tied a season high with five receptions last week, totaling 69 yards.
• The 'Skins have held opposing wideouts to only 7.75 receptions, 118.8 receiving yards and 1.00 receiving touchdowns per game.
• It's tough to count on Meachem for regular looks given the other options in New Orleans' offense. He received six looks last week, but in Weeks 10 and 11, he received just two and three looks, respectively.

Mike Sims-Walker, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Houston Texans

MSW ailing

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 2

• Sims-Walker (knee) had scored in three straight games before last week's zero in the TD column. He also caught only four passes for 46 yards after going eight for 91 against the Buffalo Bills in Week 11.
• Houston has surrendered 10.67 receptions for only 119.3 receiving yards per game to opposing wideouts. They're allowing just 11.2 yards per reception, which is the third lowest average in the league.
• MSW's knee caused him to be limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 2, so it's something to keep an eye on given his injury history.

NEW - Jerricho Cotchery, New York Jets at Buffalo Bills

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 3

• Cotchery saw just two targets in Week 12 after seeing 28 combined in his previous three games. In each of those previous three games, Cotch totaled 12 catches for 222 yards and two touchdowns.
• The Bills have been a more reliable punching bag for opposing running backs; they have given up just 8.33 receptions, 98.7 yards and 1.00 touchdowns per game to opposing wideouts.
• In that time, Buffalo faced the Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins - three teams that lean toward the run - but the Jets will probably give the Bills a heavy dose of Thomas Jones and Shonn Greene. They'll likely want to avoid leaning on quarterback Mark Sanchez (knee) because of his injury, his five-pick outing against the Bills in Week 6 and the Bills' shoddy ground D.
