Someone forgot to tell Hernandez that he's washed up. Maybe his last stint on the DL for a knee injury cured him! Since his activation, the 34-year-old is 20-for-55 (.364) with three homers, 16 RBIs and 12 runs. He took one walk during that stretch - but he also struck out just once.

Do you play catcher roulette in a shallow league? Have you checked your deep league's wire lately? He still splits time with Ryan Hanigan, but he's easily a second catcher somewhere, at least for now. In such formats, fantasy baseball players ride the roller coaster, but few were in line for a ride on Hernandez. When he hits a rut or his knee buckles, you can send him back from whence he came.
