In fantasy baseball, the closer position remains volatile. Rarely does every closer hang on to the job for an entire season - injuries, poor performance and managerial decisions can cloud a team's bullpen picture.

Should you be concerned about a struggling stopper? Which relievers are climbing the depth chart? Are any injuries popping up? KFFL.com's Fantasy Baseball Closer Hot Seat keeps you informed when you're looking for saves.

Key

Job security (JS) score 1 (unstable) to 5 (untouchable)
Health (H) score 1 (injury-prone) to 5 (durable)

Mound meetings

  • Toronto Blue Jays RP Jason Frasor
Ease off the panic button, eh
The first blown save of 2010 belongs to the Toronto Blue Jays' Jason Frasor. His outlook? One game is not enough to warrant anything aside from a few message board idiots calling for his job. Frasor, 32, said after the game he is in a better mentality to handle the letdown than he was earlier in his career. He was facing a resilient club (Texas Rangers) yesterday with a strong offense in a hitter's park. He didn't have his best stuff. Move along.
  • Joel Zumaya (shoulder) hit 103 mph and earned the win (with no walks) yesterday as he returned from shoulder surgery. Reportedly, he is throwing with the same power and bite as he had before his injuries. Now, same power and bite doesn't equal control - Zumaya's biggest issue - but it should land him on your watch list in mixed setups.

ESPN announcers noted that CWS pitcher Bobby Jenks may be eased into save situations early this season. Matt Thornton would be the beneficiary.
