In this article KFFL breaks down the fantasy football sleepers of the week. We will avoid marquee names because players of that caliber are rarely benched, regardless of their matchup. Instead, we will focus on the players that make your fantasy lineup decisions stressful each week. Read on to learn which midrange to low-end players that you wouldn't necessarily consider that you need to get into your lineup.

Fantasy football sleepers: Defensive teams

Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Fantasy value: High-end No. 1

• Carolina is coming off one of their better defensive showings this year; they recorded five sacks and forced two fumbles last week.
• Defensive tackle and "happy-go-lucky fat kid" Hollis Thomas, all 340 pounds of him, did a good job plugging the middle, something that has been a problem for Carolina this year; safety Chris Harris (knee) and linebacker Na'il Diggs (ribs) also returned to the starting lineup, too.
• Bucs quarterback Josh Johnson might be more comfortable behind center after two starts, but he has still been sacked three times in each of the last two games and thrown four picks.
• If you need a one-week play, take a chance on the Cats. They should be available in around 70 percent of leagues polled.
