Fantasy football busts: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down fantasy football busts of the week. Some high-level players will be included, because you need to know when is time to sit a player even though it may not seem appropriate. Primarily, however, we will address the midrange to low-end fantasy options that you rack your brain over each week. Read on to learn which of these players that you wouldn't want in your lineup.

Note: All statistical averages are from Week 8 to Week 11, unless otherwise specified.

Fantasy football busts: Tight ends

Tony G not money

Tony Gonzalez, Atlanta Falcons vs. Green Bay Packers

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 1

• Gonzalez has 16 receptions for 156 yards in the last month (three games). He hasn't found the end zone in that time.
• The Packers have allowed only 3.33 receptions for 38.3 receiving yards to this position. They've slowed the New York Jets' Dustin Keller, the Dallas Cowboys' Jason Witten and the Minnesota Vikings' Visanthe Shiancoe in that time.
• Green Bay's Charles Woodson is a solid cover corner, and the Packers could choose to have him shadow Gonzalez, leaving Tramon Williams on Roddy White.

Zach Miller, Oakland Raiders vs. Miami Dolphins

Fantasy value: No. 1 or flex

• Miller (foot) has been hindered by a foot injury for the last month, and in turn, he has just three receptions for 17 yards in two games played in that time. He is wearing a protective boot on the foot now, though it might still be limiting him when he's on the field.
• Expect the poor play to continue this week. Miami has allowed just 4.75 receptions for 37.3 yards per game to this position.
• The Dolphins haven't faced a lot of elite competition, but they did a decent job limiting the Chicago Bears' Greg Olsen to four receptions for 40 yards last week. The Baltimore Ravens' Todd Heap caught just two passes for 23 yards against them in Week 9.
