Fantasy football busts: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down the fantasy football sleepers of the week. We will avoid marquee names because players of that caliber are rarely benched, regardless of their matchup. Instead, we will focus on the players that make your fantasy lineup decisions stressful each week. Read on to learn which midrange to low-end players that you wouldn't necessarily consider that you need to get into your lineup.

Note: All statistics are from Week 6 to Week 11, unless otherwise noted.

Brent Celek, Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Redskins

New York Giants TE Kevin Boss
The Boss won't put on a show in Week 12

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 1

  • Celek has surpassed the 50-yard mark just once since Week 7, but he has caught 20 passes in that time. Last week against the Chicago Bears he managed four receptions for 35 yards. However, it was the first time in the last three games that he failed to find the end zone.
  • Washington has allowed just 4.40 receptions and 36.0 receiving yards per game to this position. Only one tight end has scored on them through the air since Week 6.
  • Celek's worst game this season came against the 'Skins in Week 8; he caught just three passes for eight yards.

Kevin Boss, New York Giants at Denver Broncos

Fantasy value: No. 1 or flex

  • Boss has scored four touchdowns in his last three games and has caught 10 passes for 163 yards in that time.
  • Don't buy into Boss' recent run of form completely; the Philadelphia Eagles, his Week 8 opponent, have been one of the best defenses for opposing tight ends to face. His Week 11 opponent, the Atlanta Falcons, have been hit by injuries and have one of the worst passes defenses in the league.
  • Opposing tight ends are averaging just 3.80 receptions and 39.4 receiving yards per game against the Broncos. They've also scored against them just once in the last six weeks.
