Fantasy football busts: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down the fantasy football sleepers of the week. We will avoid marquee names because players of that caliber are rarely benched, regardless of their matchup. Instead, we will focus on the players that make your fantasy lineup decisions stressful each week. Read on to learn which midrange to low-end players that you wouldn't necessarily consider that you need to get into your lineup.

Note: All statistics are from Week 10 to Week 15, unless otherwise noted.

Fantasy football busts: Defensive teams

New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers

Fantasy value: Bench

  • The Giants are averaging 2.20 sacks, 1.00 interceptions and 0.40 fumble recoveries per game over the last month. They're allowing 25.6 offensive points per game, however. They padded their stats with Monday night's game against the Washington Redskins (five sacks, three INTs), though.
  • Carolina has allowed 2.00 sacks and 1.00 interceptions per game while scoring an average of 16.8 offensive points per game.
  • Panthers quarterback Matt Moore has shown improvement since moving into the starting lineup; he has been sacked just twice in each of the last two games and hasn't thrown an interception in that time. Last week's effort came against the Minnesota Vikings' impressive front four, too.
