Some high-level players will be included, because you need to know when is time to sit a player even though it may not seem appropriate. Primarily, however, we will address the midrange to low-end fantasy options that you rack your brain over each week. Read on to learn which of these players that you wouldn't want in your lineup.

Fantasy football busts: Defensive teams

New York Jets at New England Patriots

Fantasy value: No. 1 or bench

• The Jets have recorded 2.25 sacks, 0.50 interceptions and 1.00 fumble recoveries per game. In Week 2, they sacked Pats QB Tom Brady just once but benefited from two interceptions and one fumble recovery.
• New England hasn't been that kind to opposing defenses recently, allowing just 0.75 sacks, 0.25 interceptions thrown and 0.50 fumbles lost per game. The Pats, who had Randy Moss on their squad in that first meeting, have become a more diverse offense. Brady doesn't mind spreading the ball around, which will probably decrease the effect Jets corners Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie will have on the game.

Oakland Raiders at San Diego Chargers

Don't rely on the Raiders this week

Fantasy value: Bench

• The Raiders have been a stalwart fantasy D, even by allowing a bit too many points; they've racked up 2.67 sacks, 0.67 interceptions and 0.67 fumble recoveries per game. Luckily, in that time, they faced the Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs, who can help defenses with mistakes. They snuck in a few sacks against the Pittsburgh Steelers but were otherwise trampled.
• That might be the case against a rolling Chargers offense, who has allowed just 1.33 sacks, 0.67 interceptions and 0.33 fumbles lost per game. The last meeting between these teams came in Oakland with San Diego having a less effective running game than they do now. The Raiders sacked Philip Rivers three times but didn't grab an interception and still gave up 27 points in that win. It's hard to bet on them having success in traveling to the Chargers' house.
