Fantasy Football Waiver WireFantasy Football Waiver Wire: PK - Week 14
By Bryce McRae Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DTIf you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year. Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team. Note: Percentage of polled leagues in which player is available in parentheses Fantasy football free agents: Priority additionsThe following players should be high on your radar and are worthy of being added immediately to your fantasy football team. Garrett Hartley, New Orleans Saints (82 percent) In case you didn't see over the weekend, Hartley was active for the first time this year in place of John Carney. He was called upon often against the Washington Redskins, too. The second-year kicker connected on four of his five field goal attempts. Does head coach Sean Payton have more faith in Hartley? The five attempts were two more than Carney's season high in a game. The Saints offense has been scoring often, making Hartley a relatively safe play each week the rest of the way. Fantasy football free agents: One-week playsThe following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straights. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use. Sebastian Janikowski, Oakland Raiders (87 percent) The Raiders offense has been moving the ball better with quarterback Bruce Gradkowski behind center, increasing the Polish Powderkeg's chances at attempts. He has at least two attempts in four of his last six games. Janikowksi has hit on 17 of his 19 attempts for the season. The Washington Redskins have been a decent matchup for opposing kickers over the last month and a half; they're surrendering 1.80 field goal and 2.20 extra point attempts per game to them in that time. However, it's over the last two weeks that they've really helped kickers: the Philadelphia Eagles' David Akers lined up for a FG four times against them in Week 12, while the New Orleans Saints' Garrett Hartley attempted five three-point kicks last weekend. NEW - Jay Feely, New York Jets (49 percent) Feely is coming off one of his most productive weeks of the year; he connected on all four of his field goal attempts while converting his lone extra point attempt. Outside of Week 11, he has attempted at least two field goals in every game since Week 4. That streak should continue against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have surrendered the fourth most fantasy points to this position in the last six weeks. In that time, they've allowed 2.20 field goal attempts and 2.80 extra point attempts. New York's strength on offense, the run, also stacks up well against the Bucs' weakness, so the Jets shouldn't have a problem moving the ball even with quarterback Mark Sanchez (knee) likely sitting out.
