Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

If you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year.

Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team.

Fantasy football free agents: Look to acquire

The following players will have greater significance in deep fantasy football leagues. In shallow fantasy football leagues, they are not as high of a priority but should be considered based on your fantasy football team's needs.

James Jones, Green Bay Packers (97 percent)

Jones has found paydirt twice despite a total of just four targets since the Pack's Week 5 bye. With Jordy Nelson (knee) already sidelined and tight end Jermichael Finley's (knee) availability for Week 8 – possibly longer - in doubt, Jones should see increased looks. The third-year wideout has a serviceable 14.6 career yards-per-catch average.

The Pack also faces the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday. The already vulnerable Minny secondary may again have to go without cornerback Antoine Winfield (foot). Following the second Brett Favre Bowl, Green Bay faces the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens. An extended absence by Nelson or Finley positions Jones for productive fantasy flex reps.

Danny Amendola, St. Louis Rams (99 percent)

You can't clone Wes Welker, but someone may have. St. Louis has become the land of opportunity for receivers. Texas Tech alum Amendola has received nearly five targets per game in the past three weeks; he joined the team less than five weeks ago. His size (5-foot-11) and skills, sharpened in the return game, make him an ideal slot receiver in this version of the WCO. He's intriguing depth in point-per-reception formats.

Fantasy football free agents: One-week plays

Gaffney's experience with NE helps him

The following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straights. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use.

Jabar Gaffney, Denver Broncos (97 percent)

Familiar with head coach Josh McDaniels' system, Gaffney has had a moderate presence in the Broncos' offense this season and has been looked at 5.33 times per game in their last three outings. Deep sub-seekers should look Gaffney's way for Week 8. The Ravens offer a top-five fantasy matchup for the position with 186.3 receiving yards per game allowed since Week 4.

NEW - Kenny Britt, Tennessee Titans (74 percent)

The Titans defense hasn't been able to stop anyone and has been playing from behind a ton. Britt has shown flashes (7-105-0 in Week 4), but consistency remains to be seen. The matchup favors him this week, though.

That Week 4 matchup came against the same Jacksonville Jaguars he'll face this week. The Jags are giving up 13.00 receptions, 159.3 receiving yards and 2.00 receiving touchdowns per game to Britt's position over the last month (three games). It's tough to see this passing game being any worse with Vince Young behind center, too.
