Fantasy Football Waiver WireFantasy Football Waiver Wire: DT - Week 15
By Bryce McRae Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DTIf you are serious about winning your fantasy league football championship, stay on top of your fantasy football team throughout the year. Each week during the NFL fantasy football season, KFFL brings you its Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, which breaks down players to pick up. Be aggressive when picking up fantasy football free agents. Even if you do not need a player, you can tuck him away for depth or block others from adding him to their fantasy football team. Note: Percentage of polled leagues in which player is available in parentheses Fantasy football free agents: One-week playsThe following fantasy football pickups are for those who need injury or bye week replacements. They are not players you immediately acquire - unless your team is in dire straights. Some have, however, shown some life and should be followed in case they materialize as options beyond their temporary use.
Seattle Seahawks (58 percent) Only three teams have racked up more fantasy points per game in the last month and a half. They've built that on the back of 1.50 sacks, 1.33 interceptions and 0.25 touchdowns per game. Now, they're giving up a lot of yardage (393.8 per game) and points (24.7 per), so it's a bit of a risk playing them. Their matchup is with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have been more than generous to opposing defenses. Quarterback Josh Freeman is making plenty of mistakes to learn from (and there is more film on him); the Bucs have turned the ball over 2.67 times per game in the last six weeks (2.17 interceptions, 0.50 fumbles lost). They're also allowing 2.17 sacks per game and have scored the fewest offensive points per game in that time. NEW - Oakland Raiders (91 percent) Their poor reputation aside, the Raiders have put up serviceable averages of sacks (2.20) and takeaways (1.80) per outing since Week 8. If you play in leagues that don't penalize DTs for points allowed, the Silver and Blech may not make you as queasy this week. They take on the Denver Broncos, who have allowed 2.50 sacks and given the ball away more than twice per game in the last six weeks. While we can't speak for what the Broncos running game and wideout Brandon Marshall will do to this team, peripheral defensive stats are there for Oakland's taking.
