We've said this many times - harped on it, even - over at KFFL Baseball, but look out for the Kansas City Royals' Luke Hochevar.

Yup. Going back to the well. I'm thirsty for pitching help. Maybe it's a case of being stubborn with your preseason sleepers.

Either way, this seems like a case of "you shouldn't have given up on him." He's used his curveball more often over the last three games, steadily improving his results to the tune of a 3.00 ERA with 14 K's in those 21 IP. Maybe it's the fact he faced the Pittsburgh Pirates, Milwaukee Brewers and Houston Astros, but there's plenty more to like. His K/9 is up more than one punchout from last year at 6.92. His FIP (3.82) and x.FIP (4.23) say he should be better.

Can he reverse his typically low LOB% tendency? For the back end of a deep mixed rotation, I'm willing to find out. You should be, as well.

May the force be with Luke and his owners.
