Fantasy football sleepers: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down the fantasy football sleepers of the week. We will avoid marquee names because players of that caliber are rarely benched, regardless of their matchup. Instead, we will focus on the players that make your fantasy lineup decisions stressful each week. Read on to learn which midrange to low-end players that you wouldn't necessarily consider that you need to get into your lineup.

Note: All statistics are from Week 6 to Week 11, unless otherwise noted.

Fantasy football sleepers: Quarterbacks

Josh Freeman, Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons

Fantasy value: No. 1 or bench

  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman
    Fly high, Freeman
Freeman has thrown a touchdown in each of his three starts this year (one last week), but he threw three interceptions last week and managed only 126 yards.
  • The perfect cure for a slumping rookie QB? The injury-hit Atlanta Falcons. They've allowed 284.3 passing yards and 2.17 passing touchdowns per game to opposing signal callers.
  • Even the Carolina Panthers' Jake Delhomme tossed for 195 yards and two scores against the Falcons in Week 10. Last week they allowed the New York Giants' Eli Manning to throw for 384 yards and three TDs.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins

Fantasy value: No. 1 or bench

  • Fitzpatrick's Week 11 outing: 297 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception. The yardage was the most from a Bills quarterback this season. He managed just 123 and 117 passing yards, respectively, in his two starts in Weeks 7 and 8.
  • Over the last six weeks, Miami is allowing 263.6 passing yards, 1.20 passing touchdowns and 1.20 interceptions. Sure, the New England Patriots' Tom Brady's performance inflated those numbers, but Mark Sanchez (New York Jets) threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns on them in Week 8 while Jake Delhomme (Carolina Panthers) threw for 227 yards and one score.
  • The Dolphins start two rookie corners that could have trouble matching up against veteran wideouts Terrell Owens and Lee Evans. Fitzpatrick also likes to look down the field more than his predecessor Trent Edwards.
