Fantasy football sleepers: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down the fantasy football sleepers of the week. We will avoid marquee names because players of that caliber are rarely benched, regardless of their matchup. Instead, we will focus on the players that make your fantasy lineup decisions stressful each week. Read on to learn which midrange to low-end players that you wouldn't necessarily consider that you need to get into your lineup.

Note: All statistics are from Week 9 to Week 14, unless otherwise noted.

Fantasy football sleepers: Place kickers

Graham Gano, Washington Redskins vs. New York Giants

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 1

  • In his first work with the 'Skins this year, Gano connected on all four of his extra point attempts and both of his field goal tries.
  • Prior to being released following Week 13, place kicker Shaun Suisham had attempted at least four field goals in two of the last three games.
  • The Giants have allowed 2.00 field goal and 3.40 extra point attempts per game. Gano is a one-week play that should be available in 99 percent of leagues polled.

Olindo Mare, Seattle Seahawks vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Fantasy value: Low-end No. 1

  • The Houston Texans kept Mare off the board last week; he accounted for just one extra point. Since Week 8, Mare is averaging 1.83 field goal and 1.67 extra point attempts.
  • Only one other team has allowed more fantasy points to this position per game than the 'Hawks (9.5). They're allowing 2.67 field goals - tied for most - and 2.67 extra point attempts per game.
  • Mare is a decent one-week play against the Bucs; he should be available in 66 percent of leagues polled.
