Fantasy football busts: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down the fantasy football sleepers of the week. We will avoid marquee names because players of that caliber are rarely benched, regardless of their matchup. Instead, we will focus on the players that make your fantasy lineup decisions stressful each week. Read on to learn which midrange to low-end players that you wouldn't necessarily consider that you need to get into your lineup.

Note: All statistics are from Week 8 to Week 11, unless otherwise noted.

Pierre Garcon, Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 2

  • Garcon had his first 100-yard game last week. He finished with six catches for 108 yards, averaging a gaudy 18.0 yards per reception. He has at least nine targets in four of the last five games.
  • Cleveland Browns WR Mohamed Massaquoi
    Critical Massaquoi: Sit him
Houston has allowed just 10.33 receptions, 102.7 receiving yards and 0.33 receiving touchdowns per game to opposing receivers. They're the only team allowing fewer than 10 yards per reception to opposing receivers in that time.
  • In Week 9, Garcon caught five passes for 60 yards against the Texans. It was his only time receiving any significant work against them; last year the second-year player was far down the pecking order for looks.
  • Keep in mind: Receiver Anthony Gonzalez (knee) could return in the next couple of weeks. We mentioned him in our waiver wire report. His return could diminish Garcon's workload in the near future.

Mohamed Massaquoi, Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 3

  • It's nice to see that Brady Quinn can actually throw the ball downfield. Of course, it came against the Detroit Lions, but Quinn's big day translated into a big day for Massaquoi. He finished with five receptions for 115 yards and one score. It was only his second time with more than two receptions in a game since his breakout game in Week 4.
  • That breakout game came against Bengals; he finished with eight receptions for 148 yards. However, that production came in Derek Anderson's first start of the season. Over the last month, Cincy is allowing just 7.00 receptions and 87.0 receiving yards per game to this position.
  • Can you really count on consistency from Cleveland's offense? Massaquoi hasn't worked with Quinn as a starter much, and we still have to see Quinn put together consecutive solid games. He'll also be facing a stronger pass rush this week than the Lions brought.
