Fantasy football busts: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down fantasy football busts of the week. Some high-level players will be included, because you need to know when is time to sit a player even though it may not seem appropriate. Primarily, however, we will address the midrange to low-end fantasy options that you rack your brain over each week. Read on to learn which of these players that you wouldn't want in your lineup.

Fantasy football busts: Quarterbacks

Mark Sanchez, New York Jets at New Orleans Saints

Fantasy value: Low-end No. 1 or bench

  • New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez
Don't make him your fantasy "Sanchize"
The rookie hasn't lost a game yet, but he hasn't been asked to do a lot, either. Through three games, he is averaging just 202.0 yards, 1.33 passing touchdowns and 0.67 interceptions. Don't let the real-life hype build up his fantasy value.
  • Sure, their schedule hasn't been that challenging, but New Orleans has allowed 250.7 and 0.67 passing touchdowns per game to opposing QBs over the first three weeks. They've also picked off 2.33 passes per game, tied for most in the league.
  • The Saints' best weapon? Their high-powered passing game. New York head coach Rex Ryan could have Sanchez hand the ball off a ton to keep New Orleans' O on the sidelines.

NEW - Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 1

  • Brett Favre's heir has enjoyed a solid start to the year with 238.0 passing yards and 1.33 touchdowns per game. He has yet to throw an interception.
  • Minnesota hasn't faced an offense as powerful as their division rivals'; however, they have limited quarterbacks to just 184.0 yards per game while picking off 1.33 passes per outing.
  • Green Bay's offensive line continues to hang Rodgers out to dry. He has been sacked 10 times already this year. It won't get any easier this week against the Vikings, who have registered eight quarterback takedowns this year.
  • Rodgers threw for one score and ran for another in his first meeting with Minnesota last year. However, he averaged just 160 yards in each of those two games and didn't have a score in their second meeting.
