Fantasy football busts: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down fantasy football busts of the week. Some high-level players will be included, because you need to know when is time to sit a player even though it may not seem appropriate. Primarily, however, we will address the midrange to low-end fantasy options that you rack your brain over each week. Read on to learn which of these players that you wouldn't want in your lineup.

Note: All statistical averages are from Week 11 to Week 14, unless otherwise specified.

Fantasy football busts: Quarterbacks

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New York Jets

Big Ben statistically small lately

Fantasy value: No. 1 or bench

• Big Ben is averaging 258.0 passing yards, 1.00 passing touchdowns and 0.25 interceptions per game over the last month. However, three of those touchdowns came in Week 11, when he tossed for 275 yards and three touchdowns against the Oakland Raiders. Since then, he hasn't surpassed 258 yards and has just one total touchdown.
• New York is giving up 192.5 passing yards and 1.75 passing touchdowns per game over the last month, but they've been better than those averages suggest. The New England Patriots' Tom Brady threw for 326 yards and four scores against them in Week 13, skewing those stats.
• Roethlisberger, while being OK to play, is still banged up, dealing with a foot injury and surgery last week to fix a broken nose. New York loves to get creative with their blitzes, and Big Ben could struggle with the heavy pressure this week.
