Fantasy football busts: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down fantasy football busts of the week. Some high-level players will be included, because you need to know when is time to sit a player even though it may not seem appropriate. Primarily, however, we will address the midrange to low-end fantasy options that you rack your brain over each week. Read on to learn which of these players that you wouldn't want in your lineup.

Fantasy football busts: Place kickers

Nate Kaeding, San Diego Chargers at Pittsburgh Steelers

Fantasy value: High-end No. 1

  • Kaeding has attempted at least four three-point kicks in each of his last two games, connecting on all but one of them. He also has four extra points in that time.
  • Pittsburgh is giving up an average of just 2.00 field goal attempts per game. Also, the Steelers are tied for second with just 4.0 kicking points allowed per game.

Steven Hauschka, Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots

Fantasy value: Midrange No. 1

  • Hauschka has attempted five kicks, connecting on four, but he has 13 extra points this year.
  • The Patriots are allowing just 1.67 field goal attempts per game over the first three weeks. They've also equaled that total in extra point attempts allowed per game.
  • The second-year kicker has benefited from Baltimore's surprising offensive prowess and their relatively favorable schedule for scoring. Looking past this poor matchup, though, he should be acquired in all leagues, especially with bye weeks starting. You should be able to find him available in almost all setups.
