In this article KFFL breaks down fantasy football busts of the week. Some high-level players will be included, because you need to know when is time to sit a player even though it may not seem appropriate. Primarily, however, we will address the midrange to low-end fantasy options that you rack your brain over each week. Read on to learn which of these players that you wouldn't want in your lineup.

Note: All statistical averages are from Week 13 to Week 16, unless otherwise specified.

Fantasy football busts: Place kickers

Garrett Hartley, New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Garrett Hartley, PK, New Orleans Saints
Hartley should sit

Fantasy value: No. 1 or bench

  • Hartley has just one field goal attempt in his last three games and has missed five of his 23 three-point attempts on the year. His 13 touchdown punctuations in the last month have defined his value as the Saints' offense continues its upward march.
  • The Bucs have allotted kickers 2.00 extra points and 1.50 field goal tries per game - not much to count on their opposing boots.

Sebastian Janikowski, Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs

Fantasy value: Bench

  • Sea Bass has made seven of his eight field goal attempts over the last two games, along with 32 of his 40 tries on the year. Before his 27-point, two-week output, he failed to eclipse seven kicking points in each of his previous four affairs.
  • The Chiefs have yielded 1.75 one-pointers and 1.25 field goal attempts per game. Janikowski is too inconsistent to rely on in a championship week, especially playing at one of the tougher stadiums for a road team to play in.
