Fantasy football busts: QB | RB | WR | TE | PK | DT

In this article KFFL breaks down the fantasy football sleepers of the week. We will avoid marquee names because players of that caliber are rarely benched, regardless of their matchup. Instead, we will focus on the players that make your fantasy lineup decisions stressful each week. Read on to learn which midrange to low-end players that you wouldn't necessarily consider that you need to get into your lineup.

Note: All statistics are from Week 9 to Week 14, unless otherwise noted.

Fantasy football busts: Place kickers

Stephen Gostkowski, New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills

Fantasy value: No. 1 or bench

• Gostkowski has at least two field goal attempts in every game this year, and he has missed just five of his 28 kicks. He's getting a lot of attempts and is connecting on them.
• Buffalo's four-week averages: 1.80 field goal and 2.00 extra points per game. They've given up 6.8 fantasy points per game.
• Buffalo in December likely won't provide great conditions for kicking the ball. We've also seen Bill Belichick likes to go for it on fourth down instead of punting or kicking; he might be more inclined to do so if the weather is poor.

NEW - Kris Brown, Houston Texans at St. Louis Rams

Fantasy value: No. 1 or bench

• Brown has been anything but accurate lately, missing four of 12 field goal tries over his last five games. Despite his struggles, he has registered at least nine kicking points in two of his last three games.
• The Rams have allowed 7.6 kicking points per game, but most of those have come off the 3.40 extra point tries per game and not the 1.40 three-point attempts per contest. The Texans should presumably score more touchdowns than field goals against St. Louis.
